About me

I started out in a production environment. Stuffing envelopes. Our trainers started teaching us about Lean Manufacturing and I quickly became obsessed with what makes a “simple solution”.

My first UX research lesson was interviewing machine technicians, finding that the best path to discovery was to sit with them as they worked, rather than meet them in a conference room.

At the start of 2021 I transitioned my career into stage 0-1 product design. I joined a global facing team and got to discover the whirlwind of bi-lingual, remote research, and designing for an international audience. I began to get comfortable with the uncomfortable early stages of exploration and became captivated by what makes a good question, and how to get the user to point the way on our journey towards the next best thing.

I bring a combination of service design thinking, and human centered product design into my work. This means I fully embrace immersing myself in experiences, identifying overlooked opportunities for enhancement, and striving for elegantly simple solutions. I view the design journey as a workflow that can be fine-tuned and improved, every individuals experience an important step throughout the design journey. From the experts shaping a new product, to the research participants contributing their precious time, to the developers implementing the designs, our interactions and our energy spent should always be moving towards minimal effort, maximal impact.
